Cultivated Systems B.V. (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 93943695), trading as Stewday, provides a platform for chefs and their customers. Contact hello@stewday.com with questions about personal data.

Accounts and orders

We process account and contact details, store information, orders and payment information to provide Stewday, handle orders, provide support and keep our records. This also happens before an order is paid. The chef receives the information needed to fulfil the order. Stripe processes payments; Stewday does not receive full payment card details.

The platform is hosted on Hetzner servers within the EU. We also use service providers for services including email, file storage, and monitoring errors and availability.

Website use and cookies

Stewday uses cookies for purposes including signing in, baskets and recognising a visit. We record platform usage to understand how it works and investigate errors. Our public website also uses Google Analytics and Google Ads tags to measure page views, sign-ups and interactions with features such as contact links. Google may receive information about the visit, browser and device and use cookies. This is separate from chefs' advertising tags.

A chef can add their own Meta pixel or Google Ads tag to their store. Only visitors who arrive at a store through a Meta or Google ad are asked whether these tags may be used. Without consent they do not load. With consent, Meta and Google can set cookies and receive information about the visit, browser and device. Stewday remembers the choice for that store for 6 months in a cookie. You can remove or block cookies in your browser; some Stewday features may then stop working.

Chefs' advertising tags

Stewday stores only the pixel ID or conversion the chef enters and has no access to the chef's advertising account. When a customer who gave consent completes a payment, the page shown after payment reports the purchase once to the chef's tags. Later orders of a subscription are not reported.

The advertising tags do not send meal line items, delivery addresses or payment card details. Meta and Google process received data under their own terms and privacy policies. They may process data outside the EU. See Meta's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy for their data practices and settings.

Connections with ChatGPT, Claude and other apps

A chef can connect an app such as ChatGPT (by OpenAI) or Claude (by Anthropic) to their store to view or manage the menu in a conversation. To do so, the chef signs in to Stewday, chooses the store and chooses what the app may do: view, change, or also remove.

When the chef asks the app something, the app receives the store data it needs: the menu, dishes, ingredients, prices, availability, order quantities and totals, and customer feedback (ratings and comments). Customer names, addresses and contact details are not shared. A comment is shared as the customer wrote it.

Changes made through an app are carried out on the chef's behalf. Stewday stores which app is connected, for which store and with which permission, the access keys (only as hashes, which cannot be read back) and a record of the app's requests.

The chef can disconnect an app at any time under Profile → Connected apps; access stops immediately. This does not delete data the app already received. OpenAI and Anthropic process data under their own terms and privacy policies and may process data outside the EU. See OpenAI's privacy policy and Anthropic's privacy policy.

Retention and security

We retain data for as long as needed for the service, support and legal obligations. Financial records may be subject to statutory retention requirements, including the 7-year retention period for basic accounting records.

Removing the advertising tags in Stewday stops reporting purchases. This does not automatically delete data already received by Meta or Google.

We delete a disconnected app's access keys 30 days after disconnecting.

Access, correction and deletion

You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data at hello@stewday.com. Include the email address you use at Stewday and, where relevant, the store and advertising platform. We may ask for additional information to verify that the request comes from you. Records we must retain cannot always be deleted.

See our user data deletion instructions for removing advertising tags and requesting deletion.

Chefs may use contact information for messages about their offerings where permitted. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages. Changes to this privacy policy are published on this page.
